It’s all in the delivery

17 01 2008

I have something new to add to my list of the world’s most dissapointing build-ups. (Actually, since I’ve never had a list like that before, it’ll be #1 for a while…)

When the Fed Ex (or UPS) guy drives his HUGE truck through the snow, parks it in front of your house, sits there for five minutes and then drives away.

No presents for me.

I really got deep in debt years ago, because I liked that rush so much. I think I ordered something to be deliver at least once a month. I always enjoyed what I bought, but there was something even more satisfying about seeing that box sitting on the stoop when I got home from work.

I think that is why I have a brown Bible. I see it sitting there, and get that thrill that there is something special waiting, just for me, just inside.

David- That’s a good way of looking at it.

Jason- Just wait… I’ll get to evil laugh at you for something soon. Then we’ll see how you like it!
